Christmas in Town ^^

planned to go town with baby in the afternoon
and Xin Ming decided to join us :)
wore my maxi dress but it had to rain when we went out of the house :(
had to hold my dress up most of the way so that it wouldnt get wet
zzzz
what a bad timing!!! :(
Furthermore, the crowd in the train was horrendous!
i guessed its been a while since i went town on a festive day :x

our first stop was Somerset since we wanted to check out 313@Somerset, the new mall :)
the basement entrance of the mall was linked to the MRT station's exit
a concept similiar to Ion Orchard
the crowd in the mall was horrendous too :(
and a lot of shops were having sales thus worsening the situation
i didnt went into most of the shops to browse due to the crowd inside :x
we basically window shopped the whole place and i dont find it interesting at all
i guessed cause all the shops were simliar to Ion Orchard's or some other malls in town
so there wasnt much new and unique shops around
sianx~~

we decide to go Ion Orchard next but it was pouring outside :(
so we went back to Somerset Mrt Station to take train to Orchard
bought drinks and some light snacks from the basement and when we went out of the mall for a breather
it wasnt raining anymore, but the floors were still very wet

decided to go to Far East Plaza after
combed the whole mall which was milling with people too
i got cosmetics from Watsons as they were on discount
blusher was at 15% off and the ZA limited ed set was at 20% off on top of the existing 44% discount :D
all thanks to post Christmas sales!! ^^

left Far East for Bugis at 7-ish
we settled dinner before doing anything else :)
luckily it wasnt a long wait in the queue as i was getting a bit hungry too :p

and the food came fast! :D

As you can see, Xin Ming really like his drink a lot :)

as expected the guys just had to go to the arcade :p

i went out to window shop as they played
am looking for a nice wallet with loads of card slots
but so far nothing caught my eye
just hadnt seen anything that fits my citeria :(
i realised that Charles & Keith sells cheap wallets but the variety at the Bugis Branch was very limited :/

went back to arcade to find them after most of the shops closed
watched them finished off their game
and we finished the night with a game of photohunt using the last token :)
train ride home was filled with plans about tml
its saturday sooo fast, toooooo fast! :(
but still, i cant wait for the fun tml :)

Christmas Eve on the island :D

went Causeway point to wait for baby to end work after i left office at 1pm :)
the mall was full of people doing last minute shopping for Christmas
And the sales were all so tempting~!!
had to stop myself from browsing too much as i may just succumb to temptations :x
only bought a few things from the Valueshop and baby's Christmas present :)

baby and i took the train to bukit batok after he met me at Causeway Point
i had to pick up something from my home before going back to his
was a bit lazy to set off immediately after i got my things so we slacked around
parents came home soon after and daddy bought crabs to cook! :D
we decided to wait for dinner :p

left at 7-ish for baby's
we were running abit late as we were supposed to meet the guys at 830pm :x
but we wouldnt be eating dinner with them as planned so we still got some buffer time :p
bathed and changed for the night as fast as we could
& got out of the house as soon as we can :)

maxi dress is so loves~~ <3
i finally got the chance to wear the pretty maxi!! :D

reached Vivocity just when the guys finished their dinner
decided to meet up at the taxi stand instead of the Sentosa Tram Station as it was already closed for the day :x
Dennis & Ashley went off after Ashley gave me a Christmas gift :)
leaving Zann, Mike, Jo, me and baby to cab into Sentosa, Siloso beach, as planned for the night :)

After alighting at Silosa Beach, we walked over to Wavehouse Sentosa! ^^

My first time here and it was so much quieter than i thought
probably cause there wasnt any programmes lined up for Christmas Eve night
there were only a few more groups other than us
i did see the wave pools in action though and it seems rather fun! :)

maybe without the crowd, it became quite a nice place to chill :)
And the music was good too~!
Heinkens and Baileys, the logcake into the fridge
and we sat around, chatting randomly and also waiting for the last 2 latecomers to join us :p

Ambrose and Cheryl came at around 11-ish
they brought poker cards
and we played a game similar to "Heart Attack"
but a lot funnier :p
we all had a lot of laughs :D
i got the worse forfeit though - got my earlobe "tiak-ed" :X
after that they decided to just make the loser finished the red wine poured into a cup
to me, it was milder than having a stinging ear :x

we started our own counting down at 1159pm :)

the cake was too big for the 7 of us as most of us were still full from dinner :X
it was a nice logcake though, truly Bakerzin's standard :)

Jo brought her DSLR along today
so there were a lot of phototakings, especially by Cheryl :)

Managed to capture this before my battery died :(

my doll is called "Ava"
i remembered that Jo's doll is called "Chu Chu"
and Zann's doll is called "Poppy" - which sounded like Mike's nick - Poppie :D

we continued taking loads of photos with Jo's DSLR
made Ambrose do loads of funny poses and our tummy aches from the laughings :p
hahahahs
i guess time indeed pass faster when we were having fun
it wasnt long before we were told that its closing time (3am)
and we had to call cabs to get all of us home
probably next time we can wait for the first tram out? :p

cleared my time off to leave office at 3.30pm today so that i wouldnt be late :)
reached home at record time (just slightly more than half an hour!)
i simply love the smooth, jam-less traffic! :D
got myself dolled up
and waited Jin Chang's call once he got on the cab :)

hopped onto the cab at about 535pm?
we got more than an hour before we need to reach Fullerton :p
so we would be very early
but heck
better early than get stuck in the traffic jam at AYE which would always happen later

in the cab :D
the only thing that he brought was the invitation card, his hp and wallet
and he asked me: "need to bring what ar?" =.=
i told him its HIS commissioning ball, how would i know what he have to bring?

reach Fullerton at around 6-ish
had my cab door opened by the doorman
i can feel the ata-ness from the outside :x

but we werent the earliest
we saw a few more couples roaming around the lobby area too :p
my first time in Fullerton
it is indeed a high class hotel
first place to go was the toilet
that Jin Chang made me wait for outrageously long lo =.=
is it a new trend to let the ladies wait?
took a walk around and snap pictures in and outside the toilet
love the decors! :)

around 630pm
we went up to the Rooftop at level 5 for the cocktail reception
felt a bit awkward
hahahs
cause Jin Chang is just a friend and i felt kinda out of place :x

there was this free photoshoot service
can get the photos printed instantly too :)
i didnt want to take with Jin Chang at first
but dont want to dampen his spirits so we took it in the end
it was so open la
like in front of everyone around :x
but heck
its was kinda fun actually, as long as i focus on the photographer and not the crowd :p
the photographer also keep asking us to do different poses
and i laughed at Jin Chang's individual shoots
it was funny when he didnt do a pose correctly :p

there were some opening speeches before the food was served
we never get to see the whole plate of food as we were served with our own portions
the service was damn good :)

the programmes for the day ran as we ate
the first game was texas hodem, which explains the chips on our table
but it wasnt really a good table game i guess
hahahs
failed to bring up the mood :x
then we had a magic show by Singaporean Magician - Jeremy
he was good but i sat too far from the stage
got to stretch my neck to see and i got the worse seat ever can - last table plus back facing stage =.=
zzzz
then we also had lucky draws which follows the concept of the Naval Diver's dinner ;p
and also funny prize awards to the guys ie Mr Homeboy, Mr Permanent Resident etc
they also had the buddies of the nominees for a particular award to come forward to "sell" them like a product
the floor could also choose who is the winner by cheering
it was quite fun la :)

neither me and JC got lucky with the lucky draws
but it doesnt really matter anyhow :)
nearing the end, they had the whole cohort up the stage for phototaking
my camera sucks la! :/
this was the best i can do :(

and i think all the dates (girls) that went have another role to play too - photographer :X
hahahahs
you see the guys nudge their dates to help them take photos with everybody =.= tsk
but its their night so i think the girls are not complaining :)
luckily JC didnt do that to me :p

Everyone in OSA was invited :)

and i totally forgot about it till i came into office
what more, i didnt bring my gift for the exchange =.= (though it should be handed in long ago :x)
luckily i didnt had much to do in the morning
so i went over to the Co-op at Science to get something :)
used less than 10minutes and i am out of there
the fastest time i ever spent buying gifts
hahahahas
just a simple 2010 pocket diary which i thought should be useful for the busy office people :)
its the thought that counts right? :p

back to office
hastily wrapped my gift
and we went up to the function room for the event
some warm up games before we can have the food
its a very standard practice i had come to learn
LOLS
quite silly but they all had some fun i guess
i try to be as little-ly involved as possible :x
but the way they played made me feel as though i am the 30-50years old while they are the 21s :x
i am just not a game person ok? LOLS

food was alright
we had logcakes baked by Ms Wong :)
then there were some programmes after
singing performances & balloon sculpting
i am amazed at how Terence could just blow the balloon up without the help of the pump
he seems to do it so effortlessly!
we all tried and cant and laughed at ourselves
there were some jokes about "blowing" :p *winkx*
LOLS

then finally the gifts exchange came
we all got to pick up one gift from under the christmas tree :)
then we all opened up our presents on the spot
and i got a pedometer :D
my first exclaimation was: "this means i got to run more!"
hahahs
i hope i can really be determined enough to really start exercising :x

back to office, i found another gift on my table :)
there wasnt a name but i tored it open anyhow :p
its a RED nano skin!!!

been wanting to buy something like that for my nano since forever
and its in RED! what more to ask for?! :D

you would think that since i had it for once every month for the past 8 years
things should be more or less the same
the pains etc
i thought so too that i should be used to it
but fuck
i dont know why the pain hit me so hard today
so much so that the normal way of using the hot water bottle on the tummy wasnt walking its magic
so much so that no matter how i sit down or lie down, i dont feel better even for a bit
all i could do was to whimper as i roll on the bed, looking for a good position
i thought if i just make myself fall asleep, it would be better.

poor baby cant do anything but to soothe me with words
he asked twice if i want to eat painkillers and i finally relent on on the second time
i never in my life ate painkillers for such purpose as there hadnt really been a need
but i guess the abnormalty should have a taste of its own medicine (pun intended).

baby went out to buy and came back with this:

freaking pink pills :/
hateful colour but it worked
i was asleep for about 6 hours?
And i missed the last two 21st birthday parties for this year :(

but i guessed if i had went ahead with the pain in me, i wouldnt have enjoyed myself
and on second thought, baby wouldnt have let me went anyways.

well the weekends is finally here but no plans for this week
other than 2 birthday parties on Sunday evening
where one is in the north and another is in the east while i stayed in the west
well, you get the drift
dont even ask me how am i supposed to get from one place to another
honestly speaking, i got no idea :x

slacked the whole of today at my house
we just sleep and sleep :x
all baby's fault!!!
he slept at 6+am and i woke up at 930am =.=
since i got nothing to do, i decided to fall right back to sleep and guess what time we woke up next?
freaking 3+pm
wtf
half a day gone spent sleeping =.=
sloths
LOLS

climbed out of bed feeling hungry of course
decided to fry some rice instead of cooking the usual maggie mee :D
long time since i fry rice :p
shoo-ed baby out of the kitchen as he gave me a lot of pressure just by standing there
lols
end product wasnt too bad and that up my confidence a lot :D
shall try to perfect it again next time! wootx~~ ^^

dinner was with baby's family to celebrate his dad's birthday
simple dinner at the tze char near his house
we went JP after to look for Jasmine's birthday present
bought some stuffs for my house
i saw so many things that i wanna buy :(

there had been so many wedding proposals recently!!
first we got PL from AE who got engaged with her long time bf in New Zealand
then we have Rachel from my office who also got got engaged with her long time bf in Bali
And then XX also recently joined the list of the engaged, of course also with her long time bf
but just that the proposal was just much more publicised~~
which is expected of course
i mean its XX!!??!!!
hahahahs
she even got newspaper coverages can!
And i just watched her proposal video and was so damn touched by it!
i think her bf is damn sweet~~~

and now i wonder how mine will be~~

Today is a happy day because:

1. It stopped raining when i got off the bus and i was early :)

2. I am wearing a whole new different style with my spanking new pants :D

though i think i need to alter the pants a little :x hmmx
which reminds me that i got some clothes to alter and shoes to mend
roars..another sum of money gonna be dump to revive the unwearables~~

3. I used a few hours in the morning to clear my inbox and finally done with all the
updates for the spreadsheets as of now :)

4. When i was done, it wasnt even lunch yet :D

5. Since i am done for the day, i totally agreed with baby's FB status:
"friday after lunch = PANG KANG" :D

6. Christmas present received from boss :)

7. Work ends in approximately 2 hours~~ ^^

8. Nearly everyone is out to an event thus office is quiet plus its the school holiday
so there wouldnt be much students coming in = RELAX for me! :p

9. Gonna get my AE chiffon toga and studded heels later after work! :D

10. Dinner will be at my house and we are staying over for the night! ^^

i had been wanting to change phone since like forever
until like a bulk of my friends had their phones changed to something much more techy
until my phone look like a dinosaur when i take it out to use
until i am feeling embarrass now just typing about it again about changing phone
i think i can track all the way back to March this year when i so wanted the Nokia E71
then i waited
and waited
waited for the attempt to step into the telco to just get the damn phone
but i didnt
for reasons like "no money, lets wait for next month", "its not necessary" etc
and the reasons all seemed good enough to sustain the delays
Then finally the price for E71 dropped but due to the E72 launch =.=
wtf
now E71 or E72
then for the headjack size i decided to forsake the chio E71 and for dull colored E72

but my oh-so-fickled mind decide that i think i wanna a Blackberry this morning
and it sparked off quite a lot of debate on Facebook and Msn
LOLS
and No, i dont want a IPhone, thank you!
And now after listening to people who commented
BB seems to get more votes :)

but which to get
until the homeworks are done, probably then i will decide
please dont be surprise if i am still using the dinosaur phone after the New Year into 2010 though
i understand myself fully and such decision to splurge so much on something new is not very me
especially when all i need of a phone is to sms and call and sometimes the camera function
and for the fact that my dinosaur phone is still functioning quite perfectly
the want is there but the need is not.

probably they really dont have the tons to do like i do
but since they are so free,
why ask me to zap the book, which they cant finish though on leave to finish it,
like as if i got nothing to do as well and could afford the time to zap for them?

didnt sleep well last night
my nose woke me up two times and i went into a sneezing spree twice :(
it had been troubling me for a while now and i wonder if there is a pattern
sometimes its good, sometimes its very bad :(
argh..my sensitive nose :(

feel anti-social all day
was amused by people who really thought that i am a sugar baby
like you know, a real sugar baby?

just done with some monthly statistics that i got to do
got no idea where and how to start at first but it seems not too bad when i finally started :p
now i cant wait for the day to end and of course for Rachel to be back tomorrow :)
dinner will be at my home today
and baby & i are staying over for the night :D

woke up to the sound of ringing phone - baby's
not about being late for soccer training
but that he was being mobilised :x
which was very rare to happen on a sunday
i lost to army *poutx*
lols

went back to sleep after baby left
all the way tp 1130am den i woke up again :p
sat in front of the computer and surfed the net to past time
a rare moment for me to be online on a sunday too
LOLS

baby finally came home at 3pm
we watched "American Pie 7" online while he had his late lunch
it was getting boring, the storyline for American Pie i mean
getting more predictable with the endings~~

Xinming jio-ed baby to go IMM for dinner
set a time and since it was still early, baby and i went to take a nap
got woken up again by the ringing phone
it was Xinming calling and we were late :x
rushed through washing up etc and went out of the house as soon as possible
manage to reach IMM about 30minutes after Xinming's call :p

went to settle dinner first :)
beef sukiyaki for baby
salmon pepper rice for me
& hamburger steak for Xinming

stupid coupons doesnt allow us to get the mash potato and ice cream without buying the set meal at the same time :(
so we left, slightly unsatisfied

went Giant & Daiso next to look for wooden stool which Xinming needs
but found none :x
went Mini Toons next to look for gifts to exchange for my office's Christmas party
didnt see anything suitable but we did have some fun there playing with the samples :p
then lastly went Macs to get ice cream to settle our ice cream cravings before going out to take bus home :)

i left baby at home to wait out his call back
(they were warned that the possibility was high this time :x )
while i met Jin Chang up in town to do some shopping for his Commission Ball
was slightly late but realised that we were both on the same bus when i alighted =.=

Wisma first where he got pants at Topshop

tried this at Isetan while waiting for him to be done at Topshop

Ion was next since i saw nthing that i fancy
River Island for the 2 dresses below
not very to my liking
i love their bangles more :D
but expensive stuffs! :/

Aldo next to see shoes as he need to buy them too
nothing that he fancy but i saw a River Island-alike set of bangles which cost about 50% less o.O
hesitated and put it under KIV :)
wanna checked out River Island again before deciding :)

then we went Zara
fitting room queue was horrendous

this dress cost only $29.90, love the material but not the cutting :x

time for Jin Chang to go over to Far East to try his tailored pants
but i dragged him back to River Island to see the bangles then back to Aldo to do the same :p
i thought i will ask if there was a new piece at Aldo
in the end, the one on display was the only one left :x
hesitated but bought it in the end :)
(still favour River Island's but the price is just not favourable enough :x)

went over to Far East, to his tailor

but they were not ready for him yet
so we walked around for a while before going back

the tailor asked him to stand straight

he stood in "se-di-ya" position..LOLS..no doubt an army officer :p

we went to some shops to see his shoes afterwards
i passed by Mondo and couldnt resist :x

dont remind me how many thousand shoes i have already :x

told Jin Chang i got to leave after that
was supposed to meet Baby at 715pm at Dhoby Ghaut but i was late due to Mondo :x
hurriedly went to take the train :p

Baby didnt got call back in the end
so he rotted at home the whole day :x

walked over to Holland Village after meeting up with baby
we were having dinner with his friends for a birthday celebration
its Aw Siong's birthday tml :)
got to wait for the time of the buffet to start before we can enter the restaurant
there were a huge number of people waiting outside the restaurant by 8pm :x

by 815pm, we queued and went up to the second level
for steamboat :D
and baby immediately start ordering food :p

first order was 7 baskets, 1 for each of us
but the waitress came with 8, so baby got 2 baskets :p

Aw Siong & Ngor's "jin zhen tou" order sent everyone laughing
and the waitress who took the order even tease us about it at a later time
we had more orders in between
7 baskets of "xiao long baos" X 2 times after the first round
i was so full of "xiao long baos" :x

barely can eat anymore
but we still asked for desserts :p

sweet and nice "gui hua gao" and soyabean curd :D

left the restaurant at 1030pm
didnt know what to do after so we gathered outside to think
someone suggested Chevrons so a call was made to check availability
there were room for us so we booked it and chiong down via cab
a few of them (including baby) had to go home and change as they werent in long pants
so those who are in the right attire went there first

changed and going down to Chevrons :)

4 hours of singing ^^
Say Tiong & subsequently Xinming joined us there too :)
there was a lot of funs and laughters
and i got my fill of singings though i sang all the emo songs :p
hahahas
the warm honey lemon at the end really soothes my throat :D
i remember screaming my head off with the rest for a song but i forgot what song it was
it was just a lot of fun that i remember :D

i think the orangy light in the lobby made my camera couldnt really focus even with flash
lousy camera! :(
i took a second one for the guys only which turns out so much better :D

Xinming drove so he volunteered to send all the westies home :)
he wanted supper though so we all decide to go to the Macs near baby's home

went off after they are done as baby and Clive got soccer training the next morning :x
