To be real pretty or pretty unreal (pun intended)

It is a controversy
If I could quote Xiaxue, it would be something like:
"Would you rather stay ugly or at least you look pretty in cyberspace?"

This is something that make me thought long and hard
i had been blogging for at least 3 years now and I had never photoshop my pictures
Well, I thought they were nice enough (at least to me)
But slowly I realised that its all about looking good in this cyberworld, not so much about content
Very superficial but that's the way it is
People only like what they see, doesn't really matters if it is otherwise in real world
Cause as long as they like what they see, they will support you,
And even share about you among their friends
That's how popularity is gained
As long as you can post up pretty pictures (of yourself), you are one step ahead of the rest

And I am feeling the pressure now
As though I am compelled to post up chio pictures only
Especially when I read famous blogs
Most of the times I envy how they always look so pretty in their photos
Like they don't ever have a bad photography day
These are ppl who gets a few to ten over k hits per day
These are ppl who post loads of their own pictures but blogs about nearly nothing
Somehow it appears that that's the way to being famous

Never in these 3 years of blogging that i thought to derived fame from my blog
because i had always blogged for myself, not for others
but at times i do hope that my "works" get recognised
cause if there is one thing that i am ever proud of, it would be this blog of mine
it held so much of my memories, so much emotions
there had been times when i blogged several times a day
and till today, blogging had became more than a habit, its a passion for me
I will feel weird if i dont blog for too long
like an addiction
hahas

It is easy for a girl to get popular online
You just need plenty of beautiful or suggestive pictures of yourself posted everyday
but thats not the way i want things to be (for my case)
if i am gonna get famous, i will do it my way :)
plus maybe just a little bit of help from photoshop?

What do you think?
Should i continue to post up original un-edited photos or photoshop them so that people will like them better?
& had blogging became so commercialised that personal blogging is out of trend already?
xoxo, Amber ♥
