went back to Sun Bistro for dinner with baby since we didnt get to try their promotion last week :)
the promotion :)
we were thinking that since there are 2 of us, we can just order one of each then we can try everything :D
got corner seats again but the other corner and there was some slight changes since last friday we notice this very high back chairs at one table and only that table have o~~ O.o but it seems like we can seat there if we ask so baby say we can try seating there next time :p
complimentary a-char its was salted peanut last week baby prefer the peanuts of course he is just not a veggie lover :p
were a tad disappointed when we wanted to order though the waitress told us that we have to order the same thing for the promotion :( sadded~~
the soup of the day was minestrone not my favourite and of course not baby's so we ordered the drawf salad instead for the appetizer wrong choice :( the house dressing was vinegrette if i am not wrong very entising and appettising at first but it got too sour and not-so-easy to swallow as you had more of it baby ate a few bites and give up while i finished it :p i told baby that we shall just order the soup next time no matter what the soup of the day is at least if baby dont like the soup i still can drink for him and there are garlic breads that he eats :)
the choice of main course was a dilemma i just couldnt decide when both seems nice to me :p hahahahas baby made the choice and we order the dory :) good enough :) the dory was nice not too oily which i like :) portion is a bit big for me though hahahahas i gave baby a half of my second piece i like the coleslaw with raisins, gives another refreshing flavour to the mundane coleslaw :)
for the desserts it was easy to see what to choose the trio cheese cakes of course! :D hahahas cupcakes just doesnt attract us as much as cheesecakes! ^^ doesnt look that good eh? hahahs they are actually very nice! chocolate, coffee and new york mini cheesecakes :) at first both me and baby also feel that the portion is small but i begin to appreciate it when i got on to my second cheesecake as i was beginning to feel full :p
on the whole, the food is still good :) but one thing for sure, the service can be improved especially the way they allocate seats our corner seats are very close to the next four seater table and though the restaurant was quite empty at dinner time the waitress actually allocate four patrons to seat beside us :( it was quite disruptive i guess and very awkrawd (for both tables) since the corner seats restricts our seating position and one of us will be facing directly opposite to the table beside us =.=
anyhow we might go back again before this August promotion ends :) just to try the cajun chicken :p hahahas and no doubt we will visit on and off since the Asian cuisine they offer are quite good and prices are reasonable (especially if they think me and baby are students :p)
