We went Ma Maison for dinner (in celebration for our anniversary) :D but we forgot all about making reservations before going down hahahahas
thus we got to join the queue as the only available seats were the bar counter kind took a seat at the waiting area love the decor of the restaurant :) so vintage-y!!! & i wonder if the vintage phone works
it was quite a wait & all the reading materials around were all in Japanese tsk~~ baby was famished by the time we got a table hahahas
a look around our table dont you love the decor too? felt so homely & cosy :) we had a study-lamp-alike lamp on our table that felt quirky & out of place there was candlelight at the other end of the table too but its brightness dimmed under the table lamp thus i proclaimed that this was our "Lo-matic study-lamp-alike Dinner" (instead of Romantic Candlelight Dinner) HAHAHs but i guess thats the whole decor style of the restaurant; unique, quirky, out of place but somehow felt so right altogether :)
they only gave us a set of the menu for 2 person so baby browse the main menu first while i took a look at all the separate promotions leaflets but there were so many leaflets so i didnt got bored waiting for the main menu :p love the the main menu which was leather bounded :)
made a choice of main course (which was super hard for me, as usual!) hahahas ficklemindedness~ i wanted salmon, then i was tempted by the hamburger steak, & afterwhich i was defeated by the spaghetti in seafood cream sauce LOLS baby ordered the hamburger steak in brown sauce & we ordered an appetitizer :D
while waiting for the food, which took a bit of time baby found cheese! which he just had to "try" like 2 spoonfuls of it :p i think he was just trying to settle his rumbling tummy lo
finally the appetizer came! :D it was awesome! And the portion was too small for something sooooo nice! the cheese was the best! we slurped up every bit of the appetizer (including the gravy :p) and anxiously anticipated for our main courses hunger was striking hard..LOLS
mains arrived shortly after we were finished with the appetizer :) my spaghetti came with tongs which we dont know whats the use of it thus i only use it to mix my spaghetti evenly & create a mini version on a separate plate for baby :)
baby's hamburger steak was good but we found the sauce a tad too salty & we realised the difference sauces chose (they had 2 kinds; black & brown) means different sides too cause baby was looking forward to the sunny-side-up (egg) which the picture in the menu have but his didnt came with it so we asked the waitress who told us that only steak with black sauce came with the egg o.O such weird theories we thought though anyways, my spaghetti was damn good! hahahs creamy but not creamy-till-you-will-get-sick-of-it kind :)
the waitress gave us this cool key thingy that looks like a vintage hotel room key enlarged after all our orders had arrived it was supposed to be our receipt how cool was that? :)
finished with our dinner and went for a walk around bugis junction before heading home :)
And, i finally got to wear this dress today :D hahahahs it was bought last month at Odorikoya but i never got the chance to wear it till now :x & i realised that i still got loads of bought-long-ago-online-but-still-brand-new-in-bag clothes :X
