| filming day 1: 28/10/09 - 29/10/09 |

Jeremy and Jeremy came to fetch me and Matt from office
lols
yesh, 2 Jeremy(s)
first time meeting up with them for me :)
the road trip from office to the filming venue was long and nearly hellish
cause Jeremy tried to be gangster driver as we were rushing for time :x
so in the car, i tried to do up most of my makeup :)
without the mascara of course
i dont wanna risked poking my eyes :p
and both of us did a review of the script
 
anyways, in a nutshell, i am helping Matt's cousin to do a short film for their uni project
though my character sucks :x
hahahs
doubt the full version will be posted on the net (unless i am really comfortable about it) due to reasons :p
but maybe i can get the raw ones from them :)
when we finally reached, i was awed by the venue
it was their friend's house which was a mansion
damn big la!
but the house gives a very old feeling
very fit to the setting of the film :)
After some looking around, i did the final touches to my make up and did up my "pong pong" hair :D
glad i successfully put it up after many attempts!
BUT they had to tell me to change to the cheongsam AFTER i painstakedly did up my hair :(

first scene of the day was mine :x
very nervous
but Joel (the director) was nice
and so was the rest of the people! :D
 filming from high above for scene 1
we re-did scene 1 for a couple of times as i couldnt catch what Joel wanted
but finally i got it :)
and Jeremy and Derek were saved from nicotine overdosed :p
next up was Matt's scene at the same location
he damn zai la!
its not the first time he filming for them le
and his scene was done up pretty fast!
shifted inside for the next scene, mine again :x
had to wait for them to shift all the equipments in and do set up
the equipments also damn pro de la!
i is impressed!
 
 
while they were still setting up
dinner was back!! ^^
its was 8+pm already
i is hungry :p as always..hahahas
KFC for dinner
i had zinger! :D
 
Jeremy was still stuck at doing some DIY for the equipment while we were eating
i realised they called him Roxy instead of Jeremy
hahahs
which was good as i can differentiate the 2 Jeremy(s) now ;p
 
 Matt and Matt's cousin :)
after dinner
the guys help to do some final touches/shiftings to the furniture for my next scene
 
 
and we waited again while they tried to do the lightings
 
i had a total of 3 different takes at the same location
3 different things to act out
and each time they had to shift the things a bit here and there to accomodate
it was very fun! :D
though i got to really get into the character very fast
still, i kinda like the feeling that i am not myself and is someone else when Joel says "Action"
after my scenes
we went to another location, level 1 toilet for Matt's
shooting here was quite funny as Matt keep forgetting the "slapping his face" part
we all jibed him about him wanting to siam that part
and i got to stop myself from laughing when i saw that he had forgotten about it as he act :p

Matt tried to back comb his hair and used loads of gel so he tried trying his hair via fan so that the hair will stay in place
 
Matt's staircase scene
they used a very very old staircase which leads to an attic like place
and there's no light up there :x
 
 
 
its quite messy and i found loads of antiques
 
 
 beside the "redhead", this seems like a new fb profile pic wannabe :p
testing the lighting and camera angle
 
 
Matt's staircase scene was the last of the level 1 scenes
so we packed up and moved up to level 2
it was already 12am
and we knew we can never finish at our targeted 2am :(
up there, they had to re-setup again
poor guys :x
 
 
 while waiting for them :p
 
minor hiccups here and there, e.g. battery of equipment went flat :x
 while waiting for "sun god" to charge up..hahas
testing out lighting and placement for my scene
 
this scene was the most difficult of the day for me
cause it involves me to smoke as my character is quite a smoker
so since i dont smoke, we had to make some effort to make the whole thing look real
using angles and substitutes :p
poor Roxy and Derek though
they had to smoke for me :x
and we used a lot of ciggies for that 1 scene :x
 
next scene and re-positioning
 
finally we were at the last set up for the last scene for the day :D
but its already 345am x.X
 
 
while waiting for them to set up~~
 
i went out to sit at the sofa outside and i fell asleep without realising shortly!! :x
when Matt woke me up, i had to re-orientate myself before i realise where was i
lols
was feeling very tired :x
but its the last scene so i kind of throw everything i had in
hahahs
lucky it was a very good take :p
we only re-shoot another take for backup and its a wrapped for the day! :D
packed up and by the time we moved off, it was 5am :x
Joel sent me and Matt home
i didnt realise i was at paya lebar until Joel went past city plaza o.O
and i foresee a long way home after that :x
reached back at baby's at 6am :/
sleep for barely an hour (baby was slightly awake and we chatted a bit)
then woke up at 7am for work :x
dont really feel tired though :p
i think i am still feeling very hyped about the filming :D
next session is on friday
it will be a more taxing one :x
hope i can do the scenes nicely :)
Matt had vids of us filming with him, prob will see them on fb after friday's :) |
